Really good price for these specs - thing is a freakin' beast. Also beastly in size - 6.5 lbs lol.
Yes, this is a beast of a laptop with main concentration on performance and durability. It hasn't been made to look slim and sexy for carrying to cofee shops or running for hours in battery. It is a hardcore workstation laptop with high performance CPU (H55 series) for sustained performance, certified Professional Graphics card with ISV certifications for most of the common 3D applications, 4 Ram slots for 128GB total Ram and up to 5600 MHz Support. The GPU here is a slightly stripped down RTX 4080 (Same GPU die but reduced CUDA coes) but added ECC GDDR6X memory.
If you're looking for a 3D rendering / Modelling, Machine learning or raw data crunching, this machine will fly and you will get official support in case of any rendering issues from the application vendors due to its ISV certifications.
I am not sure why this has not got much love here. looks like the maximum people here simply judge everything with a dedicated GPU as a gaming laptop.

Isn't it okay to judge this as a gaming laptop?
How much would it cost for a RAZER laptop of the same caliber, and throw in three battery replacements?
Doesn't seem like a bad deal for a good build quality gaming laptop with a better than average keyboard.

The answer is no. You will get highest end true RTX 4080 gaming laptops with solid build quality from lenovo (Legion
Pro 7i) itself and brands from HP, Gigabyte, MSI and Acer. On top of that, this uses nvidia professional drivers, not Geforce drivers and those are not always optimized for games.

I'd say yes. This works as a gaming laptop. Sure a 4080 laptop GPU will be faster. For example the a4000 ADA only gets 86 frames per second on a DirectX 12 benchmark versus 98 frames per second on a 4080 laptop.
The 3500 ada gets 81 fps on the same benchmark.
Since the A3500 Is three steps down from the top I think it would be more fair to compare it to a 4070 or something... Which gets 89fps.
A Razer laptop that may have equivalent or better build quality, but worse quality control with the batteries, cost $3,000 and gets you about 10% more frames per second with DirectX 12. Not sure the $600 increases worth it, and the other laptops you mentioned don't seem to have great build quality, just normal/average.

Why it has to be compared with razer only, they are not the only Gaming laptop brand in the plannet.
Why it has to be compared with razer only, they are not the only Gaming laptop brand in the planet.
Because they are the only ones with laptops besides ThinkPads that feel like they are built well.
Other companies make metal panel laptops that flex and bend and feel like ultra low end trash that they purposefully tried to make feel cheap. For example, at Costco they sell Lenovo Legion laptops and MSI gaming machines, so I picked one up and almost puked at how disgustingly wretched it felt in my hand. Had to wipe off my hand to avoid catching whatever it was their engineers had compared to a 10 year old ThinkPad I'm using currently.

You have a very wrong idea abd confusing Rigidity and durability of a ThinkPad laptop with a all metal build quality of a Cosumer laptop. And that generalized statement that all other Companies laptop bend is another vague argument. May be just check the reviews of Lenovo Legion 7 series and see how the buold quality is. I am not sure which Lenovo Laptop of which MSI laptop you have picked as you simply tried to generalize stuffs too much.
And regarding Razer's build quality, yes it has CNC made all alluminum design which has very little flex and feels solid. But that does not mean it is durable and will survive a fall or spill of water or dust. There are multiple instances that even a small smudge can cause dent or the black coating getting removed from the body of Razer laptop.
On the other hand, contrary to your belive that ThinkPads are made of all metal, most of them actually use a lot of their custom materials including Glass Reinforced Poly Carbonae "Plastic" in their high end ThinkPads which make it much durable, certain degree of Shock, Dust and Water resistant. You need to first get a understanding about the difference between Business and Consumer laptop build quality 1st and how they differ.

Other large laptops that you can find from various companies at BestBuy, Costco, or Walmart have some bend/flex to them besides Razer. I've lifted nearly all of them multiple times. Yeah, they generally have some flex and don't feel as durable.
Yes, flex is just one part of that. No, the laptop doesn't have to be all metal and I think the ThinkPad internal metal chassis with impact resistant plastic is great... I've disassembled my W530 and my prior T430 multiple times. I don't think the outside is made of metal, sorry if what I said made you think that.
Razer seems to be the only company that approaches ThinkPads for build quality. Thus why I only want to compare a Razer to this ThinkPad so that it's a comparison of things in the same league and price category.
Yep, there will be some differences like water resistance.

No they aren't. The cionclusion you reached by lifting laptops in departmental stores, is not really a method of judging build quality. And just Google it and you'll see that Razer has one of the worst QC issues among premium laptop brands.
