"Normally, unopened gorgonzola can last 2-3 weeks in the fridge. If the package is opened, it will last for about a week or less. If sit out unrefrigerated, the mold/bacterial growth usually start to take place very quickly in just 4-10 hours. And, you may not spot them easy. If properly stored and past the expiration date, the gorgonzola might still be good to eat."
Yeah, a 14lb wheel sounds like a good idea...
Gorgonzola CAN be frozen...freezing cheese tends to make it more crumbly but this is already a crumbly cheese....feta does great in the freezer and most of the hard cheeses like cheddar will do fine. I'd cut it into manageable wedges and vacuum seal them then freeze if I was gonna get this.
no, pasteurized. where can you get this price? unless crumbled. I probably want to know for future, so i dont have to buy 14lbs at a time
any idea what brand? made in italy?

mine arrived, but i ordered a wire cutter and it's not here yet. i can prob cut in with my knife (i have one with 12" blade) but going to wait
came in a styrofoam box (and double boxed) with ice packs inside, so mine was nice and cold!
