Ran across the Makita 5-tool kit below on clearance for $270 at my local Home Depot. Combine with the 11% gift card match for locations near Menards and it comes out to be a good deal, lower than what you could get on eBay. Clearance availability differs quite a bit, so YMMV.

Brushed and the charger is the standard one, not the rapid one with the fan.

The deal cannot be replicated everywhere as Menards is only in handful of States. This tripped my Makita alert, for no good reason
It still isn't a bad deal for pretty good tools, it may not help you but it'll help others

OK,m so let's talk about the rules on publishing the deals... When deal is definitely YMMV, it should at least be stated. Furthermore, as someone mentioned below, these are not brushless tool.

This is $270 on the clearance shelf at my local HD which is about a thousand miles from a Menards store. You don't need a local Menards to get the clearance price at HD, that is only for the rebate.

That is a legit point, ymmv should be in the title but that wasn't your stated reason for complaining.

Furthermore, brushed tools are still good

For what its worth, I JUST had a standard non brushless hammer drill die. I worked that thing for the last 8 years. While brushless is the way to go, Makita's non brushless worked amazingly. But when mine went, it imploded on itself. Complete with plastic parts of the internals blowing out the vents LOL

my brushless hammer imploded on it self too at first use drilling through brick, chuck broke off and springs were everywhere. Makita replaced it, no questions asked, but it was strange.
