Back when you could do a 1:1 conversion of Gold (after sub expiration), it was around $55 for the 12-month code and $1 for the conversion (I got that deal both times I converted), so per-month was around $4.67.
For those of us with an active GPU sub, if we buy 10 codes for 3 months of Gold (max allowed by cart), according to the conversion chart posted in the OP, that would get us 500 days of GPU when applied (3 months Gold = 50 days of GPU x 10 = 500 days of GPU). 500 days is roughly 16.6 months. After the code and service fee, that shows as $71.16, which would be $4.29 per month. So a very good deal.
If you don't have an active sub of any kind, you could buy the max of 10 3 month Gold codes for 30 months of Gold for $71.16. At the current 3:2 conversion ratio, that would end up giving you 19.8 months of GPU for a per-month cost of $3.59.
With all the uncertainty of what's going to happen to sub conversions in the next year, I'm strongly considering buying 10 of these codes to extend my current GPU sub that expires in January of next year for another 16+ months for <$5/mo.
Edit: I did end up buying 10 and redeeming them to extend the sub from 2024-01-23 to 2025-06-23.
Edit2: After being informed the code worked at other sellers, I got another 8 and extended my sub to 2026-08-12 for a combined $4.35/mo.

Does it automatically change it from gold to ultimate when you do this?
3 years is the max? I just bought the 2 year ultimate subscription that was posted a few days ago. If that's the case, then with 7 of these I should be about maxed out right?
Yes, 3 years max. I would have done more if I could.
Edit: Switched my region from US to where I redeemed the previous sub codes (Turkey in my case), redeemed it, then switched back to US and we're good!
