It's definitely worth the read. Here's just a snippet from the start:

"This 2160p, HEVC/H.265-encoded UHD of The Matrix is based on a new 4K scan of the original camera negative created by Warner's Motion Picture Imaging facility. Color correction and HDR grading were performed by MPI's senior colorist, Jan Yarbrough, and overseen by Bill Pope, director of photography on all three Matrix films. Warner Brothers has provided the following statement from Mr. Yarbrough, which is reproduced with the studio's kind permission:"

The audio also got remixed for Atmos content. It's not just a phoned in 4k conversion of the 1080 source.

How are the conversions on these? I have the Blu-Ray collection, but I wouldn't mind upgrading if the fidelity is noticably better.

The green tint on BD was awful, the UHD is out of this world. WB spent a million dollars on this upgrade to UHD and it was worth it.

I wouldn't hold your breathe, from what I have seen studios are not very motivated to bring over Blu-Ray era bonus materials into their 4K releases. Animatrix is a great reason to hold onto the old box set though, It was very well done.
