Buying from all these bundles will make you go broke. It may be cheap but with each purchase, it adds up.

Can someone please get me to stop buying backlogged games I may or may not ever play?

I feel you - I'm probably the worst person to provide advice on this topic, but what I've done lately is budget so much a month or payperiod for videogames (something low, like $5-10 income dependent). I create a 'separate' savings account within my primary account so I can see how much money I actually have set aside for games. Everytime I buy a game - I withdraw money from that savings account. If I overwithdraw, then I wait the requisite time period until I've "broken even" and then I go back to saving however much per payperiod for games after that.

This may sound kinda tedious / silly but it has made me think twice about frivolous purchases and even if I break it a bit, I have spent significantly less on games and have tried to go into my backlog / play those free epic games or things on gamepass instead of impulse buying games for the hell of it.

This is a FANTASTIC bundle, if you are into tactical strategy games, and don't have most of the games. Banner Saga, Jupiter Hell, Songs of Conquest and Dungeon of Naheulbeuk are great games. I'm sure the others are probably good, based on Steam reviews.

Cue the Always Sunny Gang running in screaming "Intervention!" (hasn't worked for me yet, but I hope for you!)

I really like this idea. What worked for me was getting Xbox game pass ultimate a few years ago. After having access to so many games, I stopped getting the urge to buy bundles of games I will probably never play!

Buy baldur's gate 3, it may not help you with your backlog but it will last you a while if you enjoy exploring, the story and seeing multiple play throughs

Things I've been doing that sometimes works:

- open up my backlog, and organize / trim the playlist.
- put the games i really want from the bundle in isthereanydeal.com wishlist and set a target price that's really low.
- fire up a game i'm playing instead. (I'm on dishonored right now, which came out 10+ years ago. so yeah i have backlog issues. lol)

I do make exceptions if I don't have any or most of the games in the bundle AND if most of the games are the type of games I have enjoyed before AND the price is very good based on historical lows.

For Deck compatibility, many Humble and Fanatical bundles are listed on Gaming on Linux. You can check out their Game Bundle tag at the bottom of the article for more. Fanatical also tends to post useful tables on /r/GameDeals on reddit.
