My initial assumption is that my receiver is old/outdated or something along those lines. I purchased these god awfully expensive cables to make sure everything was being connected per spec, but it still goes to static every once in a while.
Anyway, I'd be interested in knowing what others thought. I primarily use it with a Roku device and an XBOX 1X, and the static has happened on either device.
Receiver: AVR x4300H
Projector: EH-LS12000B

Maybe my ears are defective, but I feel like the room correction equalization algorithms remove presence and liveliness of the music - but again that is just me - people rave about the higher level audessy and dirac. I did not spend a lot of time tweaking the dirac target curve - perhaps I could have gotten a better result if I did.
You brought the HTP-1 which is a processor so not only $4k + $500 for DLBC you need to buy power for it!
I will definitely wait a year to have the exact same RC as the HTP-1.
Whether the rest is worth 3X+ the price is a personal choice. For me having used both not even close!
Dirac is thee biggest benefit to the HTP-1 IMO, even you keep raving about how Monoprice includes Dirac and offers DLBC!
You lost me, the "sonics"(the sound) of an AVR is part of it's "sound signature" so they either
"sounded the same" or they are "head and shoulders above", can't be both!
Its coming in 2024..supposedly...but when is an if
I brought the Monolith product into the conversation because it is rumored that it is going to offer Diract ART next year..if so it will be the least expensive component out there that will have that available.
I mentioned that the better amp/power supply would be important to me ..if it pans out that way on the Onkyo/Integra/Pioneer trio than the denon X3800
For the power ofcourse...but most often a better amp/power supply brings a lower measured noise floor which is very important to me.
You mixing apples and oranges
I dont hear the Marantz sound signature you mention...at all as a matter of fact
When I brought the first Dirac equipped product I thought it sounded head and shoulders above Audyssey......and that is any of the brands of units I have owned with Audyssey which included Onkyo, Denon and Marantz...ie..multiple brands
Hopefully that is clear for you
Addtionally..I just saw the Onkyo RZ70..refurbished ..selling for $1999
So if history remains the same there should be deals on NEW units, here and there, that are cheaper than the refurbs are
That has always seemed to be the case with products in this range

You can hear it when you KNOW you're listening to a Marantz. A blind test, not so much✌🏼🤣

I am 99.99% sure that I could not have determined what was Onkyo, Denon or Marantz in the products that I have owned, were I doing a blind test

Again many rumors who will offer ART, some that cost less than the HTP-1 like 4800/6800(coming out soon).
Regardless which it is you will have to buy DLBC for $500 and ART (unknown cost).
With HTP-1 you have add the cost of the amps on top of that since it's only a processor.
Since Dirac is "head and shoulders" better, I'll take BOTH Dirac RC's over power supply. Especially like HTP-1 you can add more power if needed and have the exact same RC!
Since a new Onkyo RZ70 is either backordered/coming soon, can you provide the link where you can get a refurb for $1999?
$1999 + $500(DLBC), for me I can wait a year to have the same exact RC + 4 independent sub outs.
Especially since the 3800 has directional sub setting, same theory as DLBC/Trinnov.
The power is irrelevant as a pre pro.
BTW ART optimally ask for full range speakers and 4 subs.
Interesting how with some AVR's you can't hear the "sonic" difference but you say "AV10 is head and shoulders sonically above the 8805"!
