Then you should check what is cheaper a am4 motherboard or lga1700. Also there has been so many combo deals lately that it maybe better to wait for one of those and get board cpu and ram together for a discounted price.

I would go for this i5, and the reason is this, let's say u get the z690 board from woot now for 95$. U got urself a very good combo. In the future, if u have a bit more money, u can sell this cpu, and get the let's say 13600k or the i5-14th gen, and only need to do a bios update. The 5600x is end of life for am4, so you would need to build an entire new system.

Go with the 5600/X if you want to spend the least. The B550M Aorus Elite is $100 and the 5600X is currently $138, comes with a cooler. Add a $20 Thermalright AX/AK120 cooler for better performance. Also, you can find the 5600 brand new for $100 and pair it with the $20 cooler.
