If you are willing to wait 6 months for price to drop, that is fine. But how does that make this normal price? This laptop is available at this price for the 1st time actually.

No way is this normal price. The best deal for 4090 is close to this, without a good cpu as this

I bought this during my last Amx card offer. The fan is loud when playing 2077 for 2hrs plus. And I can't deal with my noise cancelling headphones in a long gaming duration, I returned it 2weeks later and got myself an itx desktop in a 25 sqft bedroom. Can't have both of best worlds

25 ft^2 is smaller than a twin bed. You sure you got your room size correct?

Want the specs but that chassis is huge and heavy for a 16" and the screen is only 300 nits. In fact, close to 1lb heavier than ASUS ROG Strix G17 and SCAR 18 which have 17" and 18" screen. No USB-C charging either so that 2lb brick is gonna come along with the laptop even if you don't plan to game on a trip.

Literally don't understand why Dell made the choices it did

That's still just 7ft × 5ft...

A twin bed is 75in × 38in or 6 1/4ft × 3 1/6ft, so your room is tiny if it's only 35 sqft

For reference, the average American home bedroom is 12ft × 11ft, or 132 sqft

USB-C PD charging maxes out around 100W. Almost all gaming laptops over a 4060 will need way more than 100W so you will always need the OEM charger brick.

You can use a smaller one overnight with the laptop off to charge it, but a lower watt charger while gaming will be useless.

There was a review of the 2023 Asus SCAR 17 and SCAR 18 and it's power brick is well over 2lbs (330W) and is not USB-C. Not sure why you think Dell is so different than others?

The idea is, if you are going to travel and wants to bring your laptop along so you'll have access to your data, watch movie, or plan your trip, you can get by with just a 30~100W GaN charger as even monster gaming laptop don't use more than 30W surfing the web.

Scar 18 and Legion 7 both will also perform decently on just 100W PD

There are 90W Dell chargers with the barrel connector that are quite small. That would do the same as you describe and still be more portable than the monster 330W brick.

Also, from what I was reading, the M16 with 4070 or less might be able to charge via USB-C. I don't have one to try. I do have an X15 R2 with 4070 and it will charge via USB-C.

Looking at the benchmarks between the RX 6850M XT, 4070, 4080, and 4090, these prices don't make sense. Between the first two, there is a 10fps gap. Same with the second two. But the price differences between all is enormous.
And add to that the Legion 7 is a neutered plastic POS in 2023, and it's kind of concerning. Like gpu's are all being bought by a supranational entity.

This model here simply goes black screen, the lid creeks, and the sound starts cracking when on battery. There is also edge light bleed, even in their qhd/uhd top end. It's just not great quality for the price

As a side note, if anyone here owns a 2022 Lenovo Legion 7(not slim) AMD Advantage edition, I'd like to buy it from you.
Thanks.

Which benchmarks? It would be nice to cite your claim with references.
