So far I love their products; 2 air conditioners and 1 dehumidifier.

However, I do recommend shelling out for the U-shaped units. In my opinion, it is so much easier, quieter, and more efficient. I use them for 2 bedrooms at night so our HVAC doesn't need to run just to keep those 2 rooms comfortable.

Agreed. The u-shaped are great. Super efficient and quiet. I was gonna pick up another when I saw midea. Here's hoping for another deal

My central AC went out and my 5000 BTU Midea is struggling. Is this about as good of a deal out there for at least an 8,000+ unit?

All our windows in our house and most of the houses we look at around here in Oregon are the side kind, not the up and down kind. Wil they ever make a c-shaped one for our windows?

Likewise, we ended up with half portables and half window ac but sealed off the top with plexiglass. But I plan to replace all portable acs as they're very power hungry.

The side kind window AC units are expensive and inefficient, I would recommend getting a mini-split with heater instead since Oregon gets cold.

Got a 5K BTU of theirs recently and you could read a book with the light it let in. Probably not a problem for most, but anyone with young kids might want to check this before the return window closes on them.

I have 8k btu. I was using last summer and this summer in my van. It's fine. Didn't have much issue. Only cable get lot of rain and beaker tripped but after dry it well. Works fine. 👍 paid $269. Almost $100 less. Good deal

Yes its not midea that makes them but Soleus does and there's one GE profile. They are cs but hang down. Only other option is split minis or portable acs
