no free cloud storage. Price shouldn't be this high.
What is a good security solution with Wifi outdoor camera with free cloud storage?

Looks like a Hikvision OEM .. thus

For those with LaView HIkvision OEM sets than can handle 5MP .. this should work with them .. you may need to sync the user / password and ports .. so be prepared if you want to try it out.
( do let us know if it turns out to plug and play into older Hikvision OEM nvrs )

There are some brands have free cloud storage. I'm using one with 20 seconds clip. It keeps the clips for 48 hours.
not allow to post here because it's against the rules.
I bought it (15 months ago) for $30 includes free solar panel. Still working.

You're joking right ?

This is an IP PoE camera .. not a cloud dependent camera ..

Sort of along the lines of a car you lease vs a car you own ..

Any cloud camera that is $35 with free cloud service .. eventually will have to do something to force or encourage enough % of purchasers to upgrade to a paid service to pay for AWS / Azure .. ior Baba cloud service fees ..

I'm thinking about trying one out. Any suggestions on whether to get 2.8 vs. 4mm. This just to cover front porch. I'm thinking 4mm to get better clarity

I prefer 2.8mm when the subject will be basically right in front of the camera. Otherwise 3.6mm or 4mm for most cameras .. stronger if I want longer Id distance ( see DORI concept if this is new to you .. )

Note this is an affordable ip poe camera with a smaller sensor .. so better for areas with good light

Yes .. should .. double check spec sheet .. i am just recalling info based on what I recall .. ideally you want to see both h264 and h265 supported .. iirc blue iris should work with both .. but some seem to prefer h264 vs h265

Thanks! Thoughts on 15fps at this resolution? Seems low, but I don't have much frame of reference since I've never bought any cameras, just been window shopping forever.

15 fps good enough for most security cameras setups.

Normally catching suspects walking or running or slower moving cars . . So should be OK

I've never owned or operated a security camera before but I started living in a neighborhood with semi-frequent break-ins. I'm looking for something to put on a wooden backyard fence post to cover the sidewalk and capture my parked car about 7 feet away. Would this be a good option for that? Dome or standard shape? Small lens or bigger lens?

Plan to spend more money on a better camera with a larger sensor that does a better job in low light ..

Thanks. I read a review on another camera on their website and it seems to be plagued with old software that still prompts to use Internet Explorer.
