Most of the review I read say this isn't a good product. Terrible wheel dead zones and the box had to be constantly unplugged and replugged in. Anyone else have a different experience?

I don't know what is 2nd gen about this, or what generation I had, but it's not a good product. The side panel itself is fine and many FS streamers use it. The wheel and pedals are cheap junk. My pedals failed (wire on the back got pinched). Sure this is partially my fault, but I feel the fact that the pedals are such lightweight junk that you literally push with your feet was a huge contributor.

Overall I can't recommend this thing. If you LOVE FS22 the side panel might be worth it, and you could argue that the wheel/pedals are only $30 more than the side panel itself, but I kinda feel like an XBox controller is better than this terrible wheel. I love Logitech products and can't recommend this wheel/pedals. Most people I see who use this side panel have it paired with a G923 (as do I - bought it after my wheel failed). I can't recall the last time I saw someone actually using this wheel and pedals.

Amazon reviews are rarely reputable these days, but I'd encourage you to read, even the top 5 star reviews of this product on Amazon. They all trash the wheel. Not sure why the score those folks gave was 4-5 stars. Reviews outside of Amazon are also unfavorable.

I saw a Youtube video of a guy that hooked up the button box for this to play Elite Dangerous and it was the coolest thing ever. Gave a "Millennium Falcon" vibe to flying the ships in the game.
