I'm running this 64gb in my xps laptop right now. Do I feel any difference, no. But I've finally maxed something out.

64GB, even 32GB, is overkill for average user. If you do scientific research involving large-scale data matrices, you will see big difference. The workstations I am managing all have 256GB ram. 64GB on my own laptop is for merely for the small toy cases before I put the large ones on the workstations.

I maxed mine out as futureproofing. What I found is that years down the road, the ram actually goes back up in price

Good for on the go video & photo editing / digital painting as well. Photoshop will suck up as much RAM as you can give it.

Not sure if that will happen again, that happened because of the smartphone boom

I would like to challenge this on behalf of someone who deals with a half ass corporate image.

Teams, chrome, outlook, and DWG viewer(not full blown cad) can cause 16gb to fall on its face. Oh, add in the defender service flags too and your up shit creek without a paddle!
