I'd suggest the hotel - ITC Grand Chola. Stayed there for 3 weeks and it was an amazing place. Make sure you get the breakfast and ask for Masala Dosa.. it's excellent with a few cups of filter coffee. If this your first time to India be prepared for crazy driving, there are lines painted on the road but they don't mean anything.

Unfortunately it is a minimum of 20 hours layover and offer five star hotels for business. They also offer free tours on layovers of six hours or more but I doubt they are avail at night. It's too bad as Istanbul is an amazing city. Hopefully you will have another opportunity to visit

Interesting to know about The Middle East and Turkish benefits, but your information about whether China is open or not is quite old. They reopened quite awhile ago now. The main logistical issue is that flights directly to China are somewhat hard to come by and are expensive. You'll likely have to transit through Hong Kong to get better pricing since Cathay Pacific is running deals to bring customers back.

Delta is the worst company to work for, I will never fly with them ever. They make flight attendants wait at an airport for flights and not pay them! Sometimes for 8 hours! Also, FAs don't start getting paid until the airplane closes the doors. They will not allow FAs to unionize like all the other airlines. Delta is the only airline that has no unions.
