We've had three in the past year two have died. Never seen that happen before. This time the water brews hot but never makes it up to the kcup just to the base.
I was gonna ask does anyone know what the causes it to start and then stop itself within a few seconds. It will function correctly if I run it without a pod, but insert a pod and it stops after a few seconds. I ran a straightened paper clip through the spike that pierces the pod to clear any obstruction, but still won't work.
get a chulux single serve (Amazon) instead, have 3 olders is almost 4 years old still kicking. The advantage to these small tanks is that there is limited risk of mildew as in the large tank models.
I used to think this until I went down a James Hoffman rabbit hole on YouTube and realized that my cheap coffee grinder was producing far worse results than pre-ground coffee. The problem with fresh beans is that you need to drop cash on a quality grinder that produces uniform grinds. Pre-ground is not as good as fresh beans with a good grinder but absent that, it's not so bad especially when these companies spend so much cash getting that perfect uniform grind that doesn't increase bitterness on one end and sourness on the other.
Don't take my word for it and try your own taste test using pre-ground vs. a cheap blade grinder that smashes your beans to non-uniform chunks and the blade grinder will taste worse.
EDIT: Wrong quote. I meant to quote "Don't have to. All ground coffee pales in comparison to freshly ground beans."
Thanks OP, just purchased one of these for travel use. At home, I have fresh beans, a good grinder, etc. but this will be great for hotels since my Aeropress would still require boiling water.
These things are crap, the smaller models always have been. I picked one up as a "light use" Keurig that I can use when I visit my mother. Picked it up on Target on Friday it stopped working on Sunday and would not disperse water, it took the water from the tank and I am not sure where the 2 cups went as it never came out of the machine and then a poof of steam. These things are pretty much disposable cheaply made crap.

I posted the same thing before I read yours. I bought one on this same deal on Friday (last week) and it died on Sunday with the same thing. I ran 2 cups of water through. It made it to the base but never came out and never stopped trying to pump until unplugged.

I'd rank ground Starbucks as the most expensive bad coffee you can buy.
