Mallrats also $4.99. Worth a watch if you like having sex in a place that's uncomfortable.

I never said it's dumb to buy digital, I said there are a lot of us that still buy physical copies. Also, phone internet doesn't matter, as if I'm watching a movie, I'm not going to succumb to the crappy quality I would get from streaming off of my cell phone. There are plenty of times where either I don't have internet, or more often, I want higher quality viewing.

Um, that's not true. I generally only buy a movie if I can get 4K, Blu-ray, and digital copy. I want tons of movies to choose from in case there's no internet, or when I want to watch something at a higher quality. There's a lot of us out there.

I agree though, when you have no rush shipping credits, might as well buy something digital.

Folks...digital purchases do not equal physical discs. Should Amazon lose the digital rights for these titles, you lose too. Not to mention the ridiculous compression used to stream a title. Yes, digital is convenient, but you subject yourselves to the whim of the studio/Amazon contracts at a severely compressed viewing/sound experience. This is the risk and potential loss you take. Google physical media vs streaming... don't take my word. The good news is, if you own the physical disc, you can play it over and over without risk of contract negotiations.

If you really want to see that movie or title, get a Blu-ray player or even better, a 4K Blu-ray player if you have a 4K TV and rent from Redbox. It is far cheaper than paying for a digital title and much better quality for your viewing experience. And no, I do not work for Redbox. C'mon... digital title cost is about twice the price of renting from Redbox.
No one wants 1,000 blu-rays laying around on the off chance they may watch The Lincoln Lawyer in 10 years.

Great idea. I'm going to start buying all those physical copies with my no-rush rewards! Oh wait…

See above. 3 words to you...
No.Rush.Rewards.

Gotta spend them on something that is useful.
We just fingers crossed that Amazon does not lose rights.
The word on the street is that there will only be 4 players soon.
Netflix, Amazon, Apple/Disney, WB/Comcast/?
I think we have to throw Sony in there also.
Looking at market cap, you see why...

While I agree there's a lot of long term uncertainty in digital ownership, it's not in anybody's interest to allow millions of people to lose something they thought they paid for and owned. It would do immense damage to a model they only want to grow.

How often are you in a situation where you don't have internet or a cell signal but still have access to a working Blu-ray player and TV?

Collect all the Blu-rays you want but stop trying to convince others that it's dumb to buy digital.

Thanks, got Rear Window. Great movie and love that gorgeous close-up of Grace Kelly near the beginning.

Genuine question - out of interest, has any movie ever been pulled so a person that has bought it has lost the right to play it?

I'm not sure about a movie, but Amazon did that with a Kindle book at least once. Funnily enough, the book was Orwell's 1984.
