After a while, the way they end up playing with it is my larger dog just grabs the top with his mouth and trots around the house like he just won a marathon, and the other one chasing him trying to get it away.
As was mentioned earlier, on hard floors this can be very noisy. I've since moved to a house with nicer floors and this no longer gets used.
That being said, if you have carpet or durable hard floors I would highly recommend it if you have an energetic dog or a fast eater.
