Note there's also separately "open box" items (currently 3090, 3080ti, 3070ti, 1660ti, 1660, 1650):

My 2080 Super is still running games smoothly at 60-120fps at 5120x1440. Could make sense for someone budget conscious or maybe trying to replace a failed component.
For something in that performance bracket, look into the rx5700 xt. They can be had for even less than this, and perform similarly or faster.

Hey, you're giving away my secret spot. I think we talked about this last November when I posted the RTX 2080 Ti for $247.

They've been getting decent items in stock the last few weeks again. I agree the blower 2070 is the best deal.
Peace

They're almost exactly the same performance wise. The 70 has a bit more cuda cores, but practically speaking you're not going to notice a performance difference, as most specs are pretty much the same. I'd just go with whichever one is cheaper.

With a 2070 though wouldn't you want to compare at 1440p? When I had my 2070 I was using it at 1440p if I had a 1080p monitor I wouldn't have bothered with that card.

The budget deal on used graphics cards is the GTX 1080 Ti. It's about as fast as a RX 6700 XT and can be had for ~$170 on eBay. Here's an example [ebay.com].

Why pay $250 for an RTX 2080 Super when the GTX 1080 Ti is about as fast and costs less? You also get more memory with the GTX 1080 Ti, which helps at higher resolutions.
Ray Tracing? No one wants to do new build with 3 generation old hardware. The 1080Ti is capable but it simply is not the best choice if you want to do things modern cards are capable of.

Yes. They aren't cheaper elsewhere. With that being said the good value cards in this deal were not the 1060 they had 2070 for like $60 more

My son is currently using my old R9 290x, time to upgrade. He mostly plays Fortnite and TF2. Wants to play Halo Infinite. Only has a 1080P monitor. What would be the best budget GPU for him? Live near a Microcenter and willing to buy from FB marketplace, just looking for advice. Thanks

GTX 1660 Super is a great card. During the graphics card shortage, I used this with my i7-9700k, and I was able to play the newest Forza Horizon on 4k Medium-High settings at a consistent 50-60 Fps.

Would you get a RTX 2070 for $160 or a used GTX 1080 for $110?
2070, no question, however for another $100 you can get a 3070 .

Ii too believe that Zotac are lower quality cards. I installed one a few years ago and it lasted 1.5 yrs before it stopped working. Zotac was good and replaced it under warranty with a next level upgraded gpu but refurbished and with no warranty. The second one only lasted a year. I do not game or mine.

Which card would be ideal for machine learning? Is newest always the bestest or does it come more down to the amount of memory?

I recommend to get a new CPU instead. You are bound to bottle neck any card. I upgraded my mobo and CPU from i7-6700k to current gen 13400f and its night and day. Prices are fair right now.

Why do people keep reposting this deal 🙄 does slickdeal not have actual mods to handle these things?
