Look at previous SD postings (~June 2023) for this. Multiple people had to return theirs due to issues with the screen or fan. At least the return process was easy?

If you get a good one, should be a great deal for movie watching. This is a projector from 2021 but it got rave reviews. The price for it new was around $1500 so this is pretty much half price. Only thing this projector does not do well is gaming, it has input lag around 50ms so you would instantly notice the delay in twitch based games.

Probably something got crossed there, not sure how it can have problems with the screen when it does not have a screen, lol. Unless you meant the projected image had issues like specs of dust behind the lens or uniformity problems.

50ms is absolute best case with a ton of tinkering. It's generally more like 80ms, even with post-processing options turned off. And, there's no "game mode" so you have to save your game settings to one of the other picture modes. The input lag is so bad I basically never use my PS4 anymore, and it's the primary reason I'm looking to upgrade. (That, and the weird problems it has developed in the last week.)

The HT3560 that just replaced this fixes a lot of issues (split screen, iris pumping, exceptionally long source-switching times) and drops input lag to 17ms, with "fast mode" available for every picture mode. It's twice the price for a new one, but if you're a gamer, it's much better choice.

I have one with less than 1,000 hours - about to put it up for sale, it served me well! Watch Boxing, Netflix and a ton of movies with no issues paired with an Nvidia Shield. I think complaints above are exaggerated because I've never had an issue. Used in a dedicated theater room mounted on a ceiling.

I've had mine since release with 1500 hours. I had to update the drivers for a little issue I had but besides that it's worked flawlessly

How much of an upgrade compared to a BenQ HT1075 is this?

Downgrade on brightness and upgrade on contrast. Personally still waiting to upgrade my ht1075 to a 4k without a lamp.

How is this compared to w1070. It's working fine but with 1080p

Use a foot lambert calculator to see if this will be bright enough for your room. https://www.projectorscreen.com/w...-care.html

It's a previous SD post. I was one of the commenters, was very excited to get it but it had yellow/brown in the top right of the projected image. I replied to the posting and noticed others were returning theirs

FYI mine said original year of manufacture was 2019 (not 2021 like someone posted above)

Same post different day. This same seller posts these refurbs on here every 1-2 months. Commenters are probably mostly/all paid employees. Super sketchy.

Which would be the sketchy ones, there is no mention of the refurbished ability outside of mine, but it was not even related to whoever the seller is, was just a general if you get a good one...

I know its a tough world but not everything is a conspiracy theory out to get you. These projectors new were extremely well reviewed and good products, they just were poor for gamers cause of high input lag.

Just looked at the seller, they are Ebay refurbished tagged, which means their products had to be refurbed by the manufacture and not a third party, also they come with a 2 year all state warranty included... There is no downsides to this deal no matter who the seller is if its Ebay Tagged as Ebay Refurbished. Not to mention easy return if its busted.
