Which of these would be better than the Noctua NH-D15 that I currently have on my Ryzen 5950X? I often do heavy scientific workloads utilizing all 16 cores.

I did this deal a few months ago on the 280mm. It didn't show any signs of defect and or use. I am quiet pleased. It also came with the right mounting hardware for my CPU. Well pleased with going with this option.

I'm an Intel guy, so I don't know how how hot those Ryzens run, but I'd say probably all of them. All else being equal though, bigger is better. Get the largest one you can fit in your case. Do keep in mind that while the AIOs will be cooler, there isn't going to be a massive difference between them and the D15. If your CPU is throttling often though, a larger AIO should certainly give you some tangible improvements.

For any other brand i would say go with a 360, but with Arctic's fatass radiators i'm sure you could get away with a 280. MAYBE a 240, but i wouldn't risk it. I wouldn't be scared to put my 5900x on a Arctic 240 but you have 4 more cores.

The 280 as an intake will be better. I would only upgrade if you are having issues with thermal throttling.

Heard the 420 model is very thick, would it fit Lian Li O11 AIR MINI case?

The O11 Air Mini doesn't even support a 360mm radiator. I have seen some people get it to work with modifications to the case, but absolutely no way a 420mm would fit.

FWIW, I run my 7900x on a artic 240mm in a fractal define R4. Zero issues under heavy loads. Temps stay stable.

I have an o11 air mini. Love this case. Thinking about downsizing, but this is one of the best SFF case you can have for all ATX parts.

It does support 360mm rad, but has to be in 5 slot mode w/ a mATX or ITX mobo.

I personally use a 280mm rad on the front w/ an ATX board, but you can also do 240mm on front or side.

I have this case. I run a 280mm on front w/ an ATX mobo. You could also run 240mm on side or front. 360mm can also be done on top if in 5 slot mode w/ a mATX or ITX motherboard.
