if you already have have cobalt bits then you don't need these . these are titanium coated and once the coating wears off it's just another high speed drill bit.

What are titanium bits used for? I tend to just pick up cobalt bits if I need something dense to drill through metals

Are impact bits now a modern take on traditional bits that go in drills? I grew up using traditional bits that were cheap quality and wondering if these impact ones are recommended over them.

In the last two years, I needed a reliable driver and drill and still use the cheap bits. Also wondering if these impact bits are known to snap (not referring to just Makita, but for all brands). Appreciate any and all advice and tia.
