This is a very wrong take. I recommend you watch monitor unboxed latest review. OLED don't suffer from response time which is why gsync has no advantage here.

After the latest firmware update (something you can't do on the gsync one), there is no reason to buy the gsync version over this. I have this monitor and a 3080 ti. It's an amazing monitor I have no complaints.

many websites put the dwf way ahead of the gsync version

Just got this monitor a few weeks ago.
Looks great! But when I first set it up the colors felt a little oversaturated (granted I never used an OLED before)
The pixel shift is noticeable to me but nothing killer.
However, the pixel refresh is annoying. I use it as my work monitor and am at it at least 8hrs a day, which means it will need to refresh twice -- once being right in the middle of my workday when I am busy well, working. If I cancel the refresh, it won't run by itself as I never put my PC in standby mode.

I did set up a screensaver to run a blank black screen, if I step away for more than 5 mins. Chances are, if I don't come back within 5, I won't come back for a while. Makes sense to have my screen cleared just in case.

Great deal and great monitor. I had the 42" LG C2 on my desk for 3 months before buying this one, and the Dell is so much better for both productivity and gaming. No auto-dimming, no input lag, and frankly, I also strongly prefer watching streaming media content on the aw3423 because it doesn't highlight compression artifacts/noise the way the c2 does. C2 is a pristine 4k image with the right content, but I've learned my lesson about trying to use a TV as a monitor.

The curve is gentle enough you could totally do three for sim racing.

The pixel refresh is a "best practice" if you leave the same static elements on screen all day. If you move things around a bit, use tiled windows, rotating backgrounds, hide tool bar and desktop icons, pixel refresh isn't really necessary so often.

Another way to look at it, failing to run pixel refresh doesn't void the warranty. If they thought it was essential to panel health, they'd force it to run or void your warranty if the monitor reported too many sessions without pixel refresh. As it is, once you select on the menu to just run pixel refresh when the monitor enters standby, it won't bother you again. You can also interrupt the pixel refresh process and the monitor will turn on immediately with no issues.

Dell.com also supports using multiple credit cards to split up a single purchase, so you could stack 120 off 600 with 20% off Dell if you have both of those cards/offers. Chase also often has 10% off in their offers section. Only downside is you'd be foregoing your extra 1 year warranty if you split the payment between cards. May not be worth it for the extra $30-60 in savings.

Where did you notice the foregoing or 1 year warranty? I thought it comes with 3 years

Please don't settle for this version without the G-Sync module if you have an Nvidia card, the difference in latency is super noticeable.

DW version is $200 more just for Gsync. Is it that big a difference? I have a 3080.

You still get the 3 year warranty. You'd be foregoing the extra 1 year warranty from your credit card, since the cardholder agreement I believe universally requires the full purchase price to go to a single credit card for extended warranty protection to be valid.
