It's worth noting this is an A2, not A3.

As others have noted brightness and refresh rate of 60hz vs 120hz. For the average tv viewer, probably not noticable however depending on your sensitivity you may notice a judder effect on 24fps sources. This article explains it best but here is the base explanation:

"A 60Hz TV has trouble removing 24 fps judder because 60 isn't a multiple of 24. To display this type of content, a technique known as a "3:2 pulldown" is used. Basically, 12 of the 24 frames repeat three times, while the other 12 repeat twice, totaling 60 frames. Not everybody notices this, but it causes some scenes, notably panning shots, to appear juddery. However, 120Hz TVs have an advantage here because they can simply display each frame five times since 120 is a multiple of 24."

It also notes that some sources, such as Chromecast, will only output 60fps, so something else to keep in mind if you want to take full advantage of 120hz.

*Edit* thanks dealbabydeal for pointing this out:
From RTINGS: "The LG A2 can remove judder from 24p sources, and you just need to enable Real Cinema."

Edit2 - even more useful info here. If I'm understanding correctly a 24fps source played through a device that supports frame rate matching at 24fps will eliminate judder. If it forces output at 60 you will still get judder https://slickdeals.net/f/16863020-lg-77-class-oled-a2-series-4k-uhd-oled-tv-1499?p=165323000#post165323000

I've been an OLED denier for years. Thought they were ridiculously over priced for what they are.

Then I bought a 42" C2 for my computer and oh. My. God.

So pretty.

To anyone on the fence because of gaming. I'd just say I'm a life-long gamer, with a life beyond gaming, and this TV has been spectacular for me. I'm also perfectly content with 30 and 60fps gaming. In my opinion, only super hardcore and professional gamers would probably care about the differences. It's not worth spending double for those features you may not even notice.

You sound like someone with a 480p TV in 2005 telling everyone 1080p is hardly noticeable.

If you don't watch stuff with static images, like a computer monitor would have, or cable TV network logo's etc, then it'll probably be fine.
Youre that person from years ago posting about plasma burn-in after the IR/burn-in were long solved with later generation plasma TVs.

I have Panasonic plasma 15 years old (and counting) with tons of gaming, static image use, etc and not one bit of burn-in. It's the same with newer models of OLED.

As a non-professional, but enthusiastic gamer, I can't imagine how awful 60hz would be at this size. Even on a 55" it's dramatically noticeable. If just basic TV is your thing, it will probably be okay.

I have friends with A2, C2, and B2. Gotta say, day to day usage youre really gonna be pressed to see a difference between them. They're all gorgeous pictures.

Everyone's viewing experience is different. While I love the latest OLEDs, they are still inferior in a bright room, there's nothing really you can do about this. Not only do they not get bright enough, but the black blacks cause more glare so that you end up seeing your ugly reflection more than the screen content. VA panels have a similar effect. So just make sure you are buying the appropriate panel for the application!

Get the A2. For 1500 from costco a 77" OLED is fantastic.

Costco had this same price 4 months ago (https://slickdeals.net/f/16567808-lg-77-class-oled-a2-series-4k-uhd-oled-tv-1-499-99?src=SiteSearch) so not sure this is a "near end of inventory" deal. Still a great price, but just wondering if this might go any lower.
True... waiting for C2 deal

Well said! Personally i hate VA panels, that off angle viewing being so crappy I rather have less brightness than the fading on the side effect.
