UnethicalLifeProTip but it's very easy to search Google or Yelp or Thumbtack and use a painter or drywaller phone number to get this discount or better everyday. Maybe I have been buying Emerald for 45% off for 3 years and my drywall guy's account gets the credit. SW will ask for a P.O. Just say you don't have one. Don't walk in formal clothing

My BlueCash Everyday American Express card has an offer of spend $80 at Sherwin Williams, get $20 back.

One thing I've noticed is that if I select an offer to "add it to my card", it makes room for a new offer (my card always has 100 offers. So I've started saving offers I have no intention of using.

Yep, their 40% off is normal price if you are contractor. This paint is overpriced

And yet they still have some of the best paint. I suppose if you want to rail against the contractor price not being available to regular homeowners 365 days a year then sure, go spend more money on that trash paint at Home Depot.

Come on. $40 - $90 a gallon consumer price range is ridiculous by any standard. Independently owned Benjamin Moore stores in my region are more reasonable.

This is the deal I buy usually for paint but I think Behr paint is rated very good. Just FYI if by chance you need paint when this isn't on sale.

Even the trash tier Walmart paint is significantly more expensive than it used to be. Saying that $40-$90 for a gallon is ridiculous makes me wonder if you've bought paint recently. I won't defend buying SW at list price but these sales drop them down to a reasonable price considering the market as it is these days. Behr Marquee is $55 a gallon where I'm at right now so paying the same for SW Emerald (on sale) is definitely worth it to me. I'd also love to find Benjamin Moore paint that's the same, or cheaper, but I've never seen that happen around me.

If you think $40-$50 is too much for paint, I suppose there's always the $30 Glidden but just...no thanks

I've never had a problem with the store breaking purchases up into multiple $75ish purchases to maximize the coupons. There's usually a $10 off $50 out there as well. Starting a new painting job soon. I've always used SW but considering switching to Ben Moore for painting interior walls. Has anybody used both can can provide an opinion? TIA
