Gotta love Nintendo. An almost direct port of a Wii U game is 'on sale' for $40 FIVE YEARS after release. It is a really good game though.

Too bad you cant play MK8 online without subscription.
I would have bought it and all the DLCs. Not doing subscription.

Just dance is doing similar things. No physical. If your switch is connected to the internet they force you to log into their website where few dance songs are included and most require a subscription. Pain to setup for my daughter and a complete disappointment.

Well, I feel better about giving up on it so quickly then. I'm a 40 something year old dude who thought maybe I could loosen up enough to learn how to dance with my wife. Even a video game is too fast.

It didn't cost anything to play MK8 online when it came out on the Switch, with nothing saying it was temporary. Then it did cost money. Therefore, an already owned game is no longer fully playable. That's new.

Subscription is easy to do for free since Nintendo allows you to split a family plan with 7 other people. It took me a day on Reddit to get 7 other people on my plan at $5 a pop. Free subscription for me and everyone gets a full year for $5. It's a win win.
