Have the 800 series and it's ridiculous how quiet it is. I know why they put the light on the floor now to know it's running. FYI to anyone else that buys a BOSCH know they have a traditional plug and not just three wire setup like a normal dishwasher.
I sell appliances. Bosch 800 series is excellent. Most superior dry system of any dishwasher and great reliability. They are dumping old stock because the new model is just starting to ship.
If you are in the market for a new one get this even if it's out of budget. Don't bother with any other Bosch series number, they won't have the crystal dry system.
The new 800 series has a different wash system that has a double rotating sprayer arm to cover more area, and different intensity sprays for the 4 quadrants. Cool changes, but there was no need to change anything with how solid the last model was. Definitely recommend it. Only thing better is probably a Miele.
Interested in other opinions on this.

I have a 500 series that didn't last 5 years and so I'm a bit reluctant. Looks like all makes and models have bad reviews these days

Been waiting for this as well. Sadly when you add back in installation and removal of old dishwasher, it basically goes back up to full retail price (or a little more). Anyone have any coupons to stack?
They're pretty straightforward to install… but I don't see how effectively free install hurts the deal at all.

Wonder if it stacks with discounts though. Like if it's already 25% off, is it going to then say "ok and now you don't get 25% off because you have a coupon.

My house does not have a dishwasher and I always read great reviews of the higher Bosch series. Good idea for a DIYer?

I haven't bought anything yet. I'm stuck in a bit of analysis paralysis.

Costco had some great offers with install and haul off. That's what I'm currently thinking about.

I don't value the install very highly but the haul off saves a big headache.

That is what I got from Home Depot as a floor sample for $350 tax included. It does a fantastic job of cleaning soiled dishes. The guts of this one appear in Kitchenaid and Whirlpool. It is stainless inside. It is great for clearance in the top rack for my canning jars. I do about 100 quarts a year. After talking with so many people like yourself I have found the day of the 20 year old appliance is gone. I am looking on craigslist for kitchen remodeling so I can get a recent one with all the main boards and the main motor. Just something to think about if you are like me and afraid to dump $1K or more and have it last a couple of years. I wish you luck. PS I like the avatar with you laying by the ladder. You look like you were enjoying yourself rather than a fall.

My house was built with a kitchenaid dishwasher that broke beyond repair 2 years after we moved in. I replaced with a Bosch 800 series in 2017. Phenomenal machine. Installation was easy, features are great. This year the sump pump failed, but the part was $40 on the Amazon. Easy fix. Still going strong. Easily my favorite major appliance in the house.

I've had the opposite experience with our 13-year old Bosch dishwasher. It's been bomb proof.

Kids fell on my kitchenaid door. Repair man said $400 for repair. Figured I'd buy me a new one. I'm also eyeballing costco. I have heard if they can't schedule install. They pay you $250 to have it done.
Those kitchenaids have epic reviews. Only thing I don't love is the protruding handles

Love that deal. Don't see much under $400 these days

Paid full price for this a year ago. Great dishwasher. Consumer Reports top pick. Super quiet. I installed my own and hauled my old dishwasher off to an appliance recycling place.

I'm torn. Got a Bosch (100 series I think) with my house when I purchased it in the spring and it's far and away the worst and most useless appliance of any type I have ever used. At the same time the consensus seems to be the mid to upper lines from Bosch are really the only brand worth buying these days in the dishwasher space.

does CrystalDry mean this does not have the heating element in the bottom of the tub? CrystalDry is some sort of fan with heat-generating minerals magic.

I bought an 800 in 2019. Best appliance I have ever owned and I'm old. Library quiet. I've never had to re-wash anything. Thus price is crazy good.
