Have the 800 series and it's ridiculous how quiet it is. I know why they put the light on the floor now to know it's running. FYI to anyone else that buys a BOSCH know they have a traditional plug and not just three wire setup like a normal dishwasher.
I sell appliances. Bosch 800 series is excellent. Most superior dry system of any dishwasher and great reliability. They are dumping old stock because the new model is just starting to ship.
If you are in the market for a new one get this even if it's out of budget. Don't bother with any other Bosch series number, they won't have the crystal dry system.
The new 800 series has a different wash system that has a double rotating sprayer arm to cover more area, and different intensity sprays for the 4 quadrants. Cool changes, but there was no need to change anything with how solid the last model was. Definitely recommend it. Only thing better is probably a Miele.
Interested in other opinions on this.

I have a 500 series that didn't last 5 years and so I'm a bit reluctant. Looks like all makes and models have bad reviews these days

How does this compare to this LG 24" dishwasher? It's cheaper and looks good: https://www.lowes.com/pd/LG/5013597507

I bought this one in 2020 and it's one of the greatest purchases I've ever made. I run it once a day pretty much and it's silent and cleans amazingly.

I have this dishwasher, and I don't understand the reviews that praise it for being quiet. It's loud. Had an LG before this that actually was whisper quiet, but leaked, this is not.

I replaced our dishwasher with this model about five years ago and we have been very satisfied with it: very quiet, cleans very well, etc. I did the plumbing and wiring myself for the most part using the existing setup from the previous machine. Haul away was done by the store. Bought it for $600 as a customer return and am very jealous of the person who got one for $300. I have also read were the quality has gone down since then

In your experience would these be clearanced out or is a sale like this the best we're likely to see? I won't need one until Oct or Nov and wonder if I should wait it out.

Been waiting for this as well. Sadly when you add back in installation and removal of old dishwasher, it basically goes back up to full retail price (or a little more). Anyone have any coupons to stack?
Installing a dishwasher is wicked easy yo. Go watch YouTube you can do it!

Our Bosch 800 series was purchased in 2010 and still going strong after 13 years. We went through 3 dishwashers in the prior years before this.

We did have to replace the plastic facade in 2018; opening/closing it for 8 years was beyond its endurance. Replaced for around $80 on eBay.

In general quality product and recommend to anyone (and when this dies will get other 800 series replacement)

So was your Bosch 800 close to trouble free? Seven years of satisfaction with today's appliances is almost amazing.
We had 1 problem: the top (third) rack had small plastic adjustable pieces that would flip up and down to open up some space for thicker silverware (or whatever). For us, these plastic pieces started to warp to the point where they mostly wouldn't stay up. That was a pretty minor problem as that rack was still very usable without them, but it was a cheap part that didn't hold up. We never tried to find a replacement. It was a cheap enough part that Bosch might send out replacement parts for free, no questions asked.

Other than that, no repairs were needed, it cleaned well, fit lots of dishes, and was very quiet.

does CrystalDry mean this does not have the heating element in the bottom of the tub? CrystalDry is some sort of fan with heat-generating minerals magic.
No heating element in the dishwasher. The dishwasher heats water on the last rinse to evaporate along the top and sides and run down to the drain when the cycle is completed.

When we bought our Bosch 500 series, we were told once the cycle ends and we hear the chime to wait another 45 minutes until opening the door so that the water has adequate time to evaporate.

My house does not have a dishwasher and I always read great reviews of the higher Bosch series. Good idea for a DIYer?
All dishwashers will install similarly. The brand will not matter.

You will need:
- Space for the appliance
- Electrical (generally on it's own 20A circuit and this might be code so do your own research)
- Water to the dishwasher
- Drain (sink drain is normal)

Hope this helps.

If you have a Lowe's credit card right now you can get 5% off the 500 series dishwasher which is priced at $899. This brings your total to $854. I bought this last week. And yes Lowe's will price match HD. However they will not give you 5% off the HD price if you have the credit card. I bit on the 500 series because of the auto door opening and saving a little over $100 as compared to the 800 series.
