Just noticed the price on this unit went down $200. Looks to be a drop across several retailers, but not sure if it is temporary or not. Got this unit last month at $3199 and the picture is amazing. I also got the free professional install by Costco and the service went quick and smooth. It's through a 3rd party app (Handy) but it wasn't any trouble. I couldn't have done it on my own so glad it was included.

Picture quality is amazing, and PS5/Xbox looks incredible on it. Also, being my first OLED, the black levels are nuts. And for the record this was wall mounted in a main living room across from 2 windows, and the reflection/glare is nearly non-existent. Also, the brightness isn't a problem at all with this model (was worried with that and being OLED in a room like this). I'd say this is a good deal on what RTINGS lists as the best 77" tv currently available on the market. Also, good for those who can't take advantage of the Samsung employee/AAA/Student discounts.

It has HDR10+ and the color gamut is apparently better than the same-priced LG C3 77" according to reviews even without Dolby Vision. However, if you need Dolby Vision the C3 is also on sale at Costco for the same 77" for $2999.99 at Costco as well.

That will add dolby vision to any non-dolby vision device.

it's cheaper on samsung $2700 website with the employee discount. You can probably chat with customer service for extra discount. standard 1 year warranty though

How is the build quality compared to S95B which the panel seems to be an extension of?

S95B had significant issues (reddit, avds forums etc) of even returned panels dying/ showing banding , dead pixels and since its gen 1 QD OLED there were several posts of burn in with it. Everyone who had to deal with samsung support bemoaned their lack of service.

I am curious if those concerns are addressed with this model.

Seeing this at costco the color depth is rich af vs top end rival brands.

Lot of people unfortunately don't get the Samsung employee discount and the education discount requires hoops as well (I tried lol)

I got the 77 and the S95B didn't have a 77" model so you can at least be sure it isn't a rebadge of the S95B at the 77" size. I can just say the build and wailing of mine seems fine.

You'll never need the movie theater again after getting a 77 inch OLED. Most people won't, unless you expect a 100, 120, 150 inch screen, heaven forbid. Had a projector for years with a 72 inch screen that I really only set up on weekends. Got a 77 inch Sony OLED, makes me hate going to the theater now.
