They have been like this for a while. They don't taste so good. Ironically, their juice version in cans taste much better with almost 100% squeezed juice, and nice pineapple taste. I would only go with organic in these if you really want a taste.

Nice deal. My Costco carries Dole Gold canned pineapple but it's pretty hit or miss. This is an ok sub.

the Aldi ones are cheap, but also mostly green . at least at my store, and they really dont seem to ripen.

The Amazon reviews suggest that the discounted price is due to the cans being dented (prior to shipment ). Many claim that there were leaks and/or taste/quality issues. Nonetheless, there is a high customer rating. I don't think I want to take the risk . I'm not sure what Amazon does if the delivery has a can with a leak . Do they refund the entire purchase amount ? Still , it seems gross.

Yes they will refund the entire purchase if they are either damaged or within 90 days expiration.

Typically yes. I've gotten deliveries of cases of soup or energy drinks where one had burst, but they refund the entire amount and don't prorate. They can't take back food either, so you just keep it.
