Seems like a solid deal. I have a similar pull up bar. Much much better than the ones that hang from door frames (obviously).

Looks like a good deal. It's also on sale for the same price on the tru-grit website but that doesn't look to have the backplate, though thats just cosmetics.

This basically is a made in china copy of the rogue jammer pull up bar (made in US) for $40 instead of like $175

How do people feel about the distance from wall to bar? I don't think I have used one less than 12". This is 6".

edit: I wonder if I could mount it over a door jam and just open door if I needed more space?

The echo/rouge one seems to be mounted over the door and then yeah you open the door and do pullups

That's how the YT video shows it. It would need to be above the door frame to give yourself spacing.
