They ran this promo back in May and I missed the offer. I believe this is the one of the best, if not the best bonus offer for this specific card.

They expire 12 months from the time you get the free nights. I got them in my account from last bonus on 8/4/23 and they expire 8/4/24
recommend looking places you want to go first, then decide if the card is right for you.
It's hard to get a room at a decent property domestically for 50k. Handful of real options.
wow.. how many points do you guys have to think that 50K night certificates are hard to redeem... Five 50K certificates is hands down better than 100K points... I'm having a hard time figuring out why 100K pts would be better unless you ONLY stay at Ritz Carltons or All Inclusives for 1 night.
A typical free night certificate from most credit cards is only 35K pts/night. 50K/night certificates, and they give you five is pretty amazing...

The certificates are good for 1 year after they are issued, they are issued when the month you make the spending requirement. I did find two hotels in LA for November at I think 40K per night.
Marriot sucks. The only thing this card is good for is to transfer the points elsewhere. Why people stay at the Marriot is beyond me. Charge the price of a 5-star hotel, and are only a 2-star hotel at best. I don't know of a single Marriot that would meet my definition of a 5-star hotel.

The only reason have stayed at a Marriott in the past is because a property happened to offer a "long term stay" rate (5 nights or more) that was cheaper than their prepaid rate. (Unfortunately, I can find no logic as to when and why some properties offer that rate…. ). When attending a convention, more than once I have gotten a "long term rate" that was cheaper than the convention rate.

Marriott has 30 brands. As someone who has spent over 100 nights in hotels (of all different brands) for the last 20 years, I will say that I do not agree with this statement. Also, the vast majority of Marriott brand hotels are not advertised as 5-star hotels so your statement is completely inaccurate. Additionally, I started staying at Marriott brands exclusively late last year after Choice hotel pricing went higher across the Board. I often get great rooms from Marriott for much less than Choice Brands. I am also much more pleased with the perks and benefits from Marriott.
Damn I wish I could get in on this card. I just got the Amex Platinum though so my spend will be working to get the 125,000 point sign up bonus there. I can't juggle getting two SUB at the same time lol.
Quite a few Bonvoy fanboys (Bonboys?) in this thread. I didn't think there were so many these days.
Bonvoy sucks but this is still a great deal. Shouldn't be hard to get $1000 in value from the certs and potentially more. That's great for a $95 annual fee card.
Quite a few thread crappers, didn't think there were so many these days

Don't get me wrong. These certs are valuable. P1 and P2 in my household both did this last year and we saved significant $$$, although we had to settle for a few alternative hotels when the ones we were targeting wanted more than 65K/night.
The fanboys keep challenging people who said they couldn't find rooms in certain locations for 50K or even 65K, as if that's somehow subject to opinion. Haven't seen any threadcrapping though.
is there a refer link i can refer to my friend to get this card and get a bonus for referral?
There is a referral link your chase account. Login and it's at the bottom right of the page, but when I use my SO's link, the offer if only for 3 free nights/150k. So I just signed up with the regular link instead of using her referral link which would only net us 150k + 40k for the referral.
I currently have the basic (old) Chase Bonvoy card and also the basic Amex Bonvoy card. Looks like fine print says if you already own those cards then you won't get the bonus.
Right now I have 36 nights at Gold Elite status so it seems the only benefit to me would be the 15 Elite night credits which would put me into Platinum status.
I might wait to see if they do another points offer instead of nights. I guess I should also cancel my Amex Bonvoy card....although they do have good shopping rewards which I use a lot!

Weird terms. I don't think the Starwood preferred card exists, mine was converted to a bonvoy card three years ago.
I got this just after the COVID shutdown was able to get 5 nights at the Westin Maui resort. But with the way Marriot devalued their points, I don't think I can get a hotel anywhere as nice this time around.
