I got 2 for the summer and they did wonders. They were quick to install and cooled the rooms well, enough to help me through the sweltering summer days. They were very quiet, far quieter than regular window AC they replaced.
As to saving on electricity, I have no direct comparison, but the electricity bills are smaller for sure.
Only thing missing is connectivity, but I knew it before the purchases, so no complaints.
I'm hoping to run this off a little solar system that I'm building for fun, so the low power draw and the non-existent surge current are key requirements and this AC unit seems to satisfy those two requirements.

Here's what it manual says: "In Eco mode, when the desired temperature is reached, the compressor will turn off and the fan will continue to run for 3 minutes. Then the fan cycles on for 1 minutes at 5 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on and cooling restarts."
You can control the power draw by setting the fan speed however. One thing to note: I'm measuring this right now at the hottest time of the day (it's 100deg out) and so these numbers might be a little on the higher side considering the temp.
- Low: 446w
- Medium: 642w
- High: 802w
- Auto: swings around variably depending on how close the room temp is to your set point, I saw all sorts of numbers from 450w to 725w all the way to max 800w.
Another thing to note: I did these measurements with one of those kill-a-watt power meters and the measurements all showed a power factor of .99 to 1, which is pretty much perfect. This is also important if you want to run this off-grid on an inverter or on a generator as some inverters/generators have problems powering devices that have a poor power factor (< .6) .Hope this helps!
