Not saying the price is bad, but you should never order this type of product through a place like miniinthebox or lightinthebox or any other iteration of this place (or aliexpress). Compatibility is so variable between car type and phone type that it is not worth the risk when you have to return it. Pay a little more and get it on Amazon where you can have easy returns. I have had to return this twice already (earlier versions), thank goodness it was on Amazon. Read multiple previous threads on the horrible customer service experience of this seller (and lightinthebox).

I use a similar device (MA1) and it's improved quality of life. It's super convenient hopping into your car to have audio/spotify play automatically, or google maps to open when you get in the vehicle.

The issue is additional drain to your phone's battery, e.g. auto connecting when phone battery is already low could be an issue. There's also a bit of stuttering between initial connection but should be connected before a minute.

Using one in a 2019 Mazda CX5 and iPhone 13. The Carlinkit 5 is significantly better than v1/2 (which I tried a few years ago). Been using it for a week, very reliable and stable.

I paid $46 with last deal at lightinthebox

Honestly can't imagine. I've been running the 3.0 version in my 22 Frontier for about a year and a half with no issues. Seems like a great price.

I had it on a Kenwood and it was a little wonky but still worked, after I got a new truck it worked significantly better on the stock Toyota HU. The main issues on the Kenwood were long connection times (still kinda present but much faster), garbled phone audio, and siri was a little hit or miss.

Since these are a hacky work around to native wireless carplay you have to accept a little bit of wonk. I still prefer this over wired carplay unless I'm on a road trip, then I'm plugging in for a more reliable connection.

I bought one of these pretty recently to augment my Carplay capable Kenwood deck with Wireless Carplay and it works pretty well. Takes slightly longer to connect than it did on a wired connection but once it is connected, I have had zero issues.

I paid $55 for 3.0 version about 2 years ago . Sometimes it gets disconnected but it is very convenient to have it. Overall I would recommend anyone with oem carplay/android auto devices.

I have the 4.0 and the 5.0 in different cars. Anecdotally I think the 5.0 connects faster, but both have issues with sound not syncing at random times. Another issue is that using the car controls (eg steering wheel controls) always have a 1-2 second lag, so fast forwarding a podcast on Spotify (15 seconds at a time) to skip ads can be annoying.

Overall, it's decent and worth the $40ish price point. Note that you can consistently get this price on Ali express.
