Same crap different day, $700 plus for the platinum card and I have not gotten one of these promotions in the last two years.

I had to cancel my one amex card used to activate the promo due the the annual fee, now the orders go through on another amex points card but then the orders get put on hold a while later. Has anyone been able to switch the promo to another card? My older orders from before i cancelled also got put on hold... Amazon cant figure out the problem, amex says the orders are processing fine... Anyone else figure out a solution to this issue?

No you don't understand. For the past couple of purchases, I've been getting the same $2.xx discount but I think I might understand what's going on. It might be because I've returned something and the discount promo is reversed for me to use again. I just happen to be returning something related to the same $2.xx discount for the same discount to appear over and over again.
