Edit: Wohoo!! I managed to get best buy to price match it. It took 3-4 hours chatting with different representatives until one finally budged and gave me the price match of $512! Funny thing is I almost gave up before the last rep said they'd match it. Out of stock in my local town so I drove an hour away to a neighbor state to pick it up. My advice to anyone: keep asking new best buy chat reps. Don't get discouraged. Persistence is key. Good luck!

huge thanks to OP for providing the link to the Sony A80 as I was able to successfully price match BB. this was definitely a roller coaster as availability is more limited than the C2. after numerous pickup/shipping changes, I finally picked mine up tonight.
