Edit: Wohoo!! I managed to get best buy to price match it. It took 3-4 hours chatting with different representatives until one finally budged and gave me the price match of $512! Funny thing is I almost gave up before the last rep said they'd match it. Out of stock in my local town so I drove an hour away to a neighbor state to pick it up. My advice to anyone: keep asking new best buy chat reps. Don't get discouraged. Persistence is key. Good luck!

Has anyone who got the TV from BestBuy added the warranty after purchase? I don't see any option for that in my order details. According to their site it should be possible:

Just a heads up, the 55 inch doesn't have a headphone jack. Apparently the sizes below it do. Im using an old stereo setup, so Im trying to figure out ways to not have to replace it.

Just got my rejection email for the set I purchased full price but was promised a PM refund. Refund was denied tonight even though 4 reps confirmed it was approved. Even after my earlier attempts of chatting, calling and arguing about it etc. I've labored over this for the past two days.

"We regret to inform you that we're unable to process the refund and honor your request since we don't have a way to validate the price and model number."

For anyone wondering, the set was purchased early Sunday morning and picked up at 11am. So I assume every set that was bought with a promised PM email and refund will be denied like mine was.

We'll be returning this one it looks like.

What absolute BS. This company is a disgrace.

I've been through a very similar experience as you. Except mine was Monday morning right when chat opened at 7am central. I got connected to first agent josh who approved price adjustment. I went and picked up tv, 4 hours later got denial. I've since chatted with over 80 agents, went through 5 supervisor chat agents, called customer service 3 times to the point where the regular associates on the phone will not let me speak to their supervisor. The agent on the phone eventually didn't know what to say to me so they lied and said "so I can't honor that price, but what I can do is transfer you to sales team who will give you the max discount possible for this item, it just won't be the pm price." Frustrated I agreed and once I got connected over there the sales agent was confused and thought I was trying to price match Costco all over again. She had told me I'd get a lower price just to get me off the phone with her.

Good thing I've documented everything and even screen recorded the entire chat conversation that I had with agent josh where he agreed to the price match. I said "Costco.com" and he didn't even ask for link. Just approved it. I have just started going to social media today on Facebook and Twitter both with the screen recording of the price match and have been spamming their comments etc with the screen recording and complaint I have. Best Buy has messaged me on both Facebook and Twitter but they have not responded to my dm response back yet.
