Yes, it's a finished trilogy. There are additional short stories in this setting, however they are not necessary reading.

I believe there was a 4th book that came out last year, that tied into it but didn't have a lot of the characters from the 1st 3 books.

I read the first in stormlight, I thought it was great. Read the second, meh. Didn't finish the third, i think.

He's... polarizing. Like, people LOVE his works or they hate them, Or they seem to think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread (or whatever) or he's demonic and they'd never give him money.

Personally I'm not that into most of the stuff he writes (the fantasy genre, not his books in particular - although I've read and liked the Skyward series, for what they are: YA fiction) but I have two friends/co-workers who LOVE everything he writes.

But apparently the guy is fantastic at world-building, and he sells an absolute TON of books.

I finished reading his mistborn series a few months ago and just started his stormlight archive series yesterday. Great author.
