The 13700 is approximately 15% faster at single core operations, but almost 40% faster with multicore workloads. If you are running 3D rendering like CAD or video editing often, then maybe the 13700 is a good value for the extra performance. If you just want a fast computer that games well, the 12600 accomplishes that very well.

I'm in the same boat. Watching videos comparing 4k performance as I mainly use for PCVR gaming.

From what I can tell not worth the upgrade for monitor gaming at 1440p max settings. But the lows are probably not what I want for equivalent of 4K when doing VR games. So will probably hold out for a 13700K.
