Wish this came with 4 Ah battery for this price. My mid 2020 trimmer is having hard time starting when it's hot, despite of using freshly charged batteries.

Is this THE model to get? Seems to get all the check mark, Brushless motor, Powerload, and Telescoptic

I'd wait for the multi-head to be on sale. That system allows more versatility than a single use string trimmer. But if all you need is a string trimmer, i suppose this is a good one.

I have the nontelescopic version of this and it's great. The 2.5aH battery covers my 5200 sq ft yard fine. We don't mow as most of our yard is either native ground cover or moss. String trimmer handles the taller grasses and deadheading the old flower stalks every spring.

I don't know if I agree with the multi-head approach. I was all about it when got my first headed tool, but since then I haven't found a single sale on the heads and when the tools go on sale they're often only slightly more than the head attachment with a battery to boot.

My experience has been that the only advantage of the multi-headed approach is a small space savings at the expense of money and convenience.

The ST1623T adds an extra inch, carbon fiber shaft, 4ah battery and line IQ, although some complain about the latter. Also ~$130...

Agreed, as the owner of a multi-head system (snow shovel, bristle brush, edger - all only available as attachments) as well as stand alone hedge trimmer and string trimmer.

I've heard the balance of the sting trimmer attachment isn't great.

Could you comment on the snow shovel and bristle brush for snow? I'm interested I'm grabbing one for the deck mostly

Sorry, I just saw this. I just got the snow shovel, so can't speak to it. The bristle brush is quite heavy to be picking up and moving around a lot, but it does a good job of removing that last layer of packed snow and a bit of ice for clear blacktop and walkways.

I have a fairly long and v steep driveway which I try not to clear so my kids can sled down it, which packs the snow hard. It also unfortunately needs to be completely redone, so there are a fair amount of dips and valleys in it. I use the bristle brush after sledding is done to have a clear path for them to walk to the school bus next day after I run my 3 stage cub cadet (which I wouldn't recommend). I also use it to clear the front walk and path to and around the cars.

I def wouldn't want to run the bristle brush over my entire driveway.
