the one I got from the series x release still works great, and I game prob ~10 hrs a week. stop dropping them and they last longer 😉

8bitdo has been a miss, at least on the N30 I bought. Painful, unresponsive, and cheaply made. I'll stick to the Xbox controller.

I have 3 Xbox series controllers. THREE! All of them got stick drift. Certainly the worst controllers on the Quality Control front.

My options are:
1: DIY repair my controllers with the current joystick with ifixit parts (lifetime warranty)
2: Take it to a repair shop and hope they can fix each
3: Throw away my current controller and buy another 3 ($150+!!! for all three)

You'll have to elaborate. Because I read a lot about controllers, have a lot of controllers, and nothing has convinced me anything is significantly better on PC than an xbox series controller with the USB dongle.

8bitdo build quality is just soo bad. Started drifting before even beating super Mario world! Also I have never had a single issue with any Xbox controller on pc, curious as to your experience

Saaaaame here. Probably have about dozen xBox One / Series X controllers around the house, plus xBox 360, Wii U, JoyCons, Pro Controllers, PS4, and 8BitDo controllers and I have never once experienced any issues with any of them. Honestly can't figure out how these controllers fail for people.
But I guess Im just a "sample of one".... with way too many controllers.

The crazy thing is I didn't get stick drift on my Joycons, my Xbox One and 360 controllers, and none of my PlayStation controllers from PS3-PS5. It has only been the series controllers.

Amazing how we all played games for years using controllers and now the herd mentality pushes "stick drift" on every controller post. Yeah, it happens. Just nauseating how that's become such a buzzword. Just like people using "meta" for everything lol.

After buying a GameSir G7 SE on Amazon, I will never buy another Xbox brand controller again. They break down and have drift issues too soon. The GameSir is rock solid and has Hall Effect sensors that don't drift.

We'll, the first one to go was my Halo Infinite controller that came bundled with the limited edition console. Then the second one to go was my Xbox 20th Anniversary one I got from Target. Now my son's Black/Blue Space Jam controller is drifting too.
