For price reference, the most recent "great deal" on this forum was an Eco-worthy 100W/12v panel for $62.99. This kit comes out to be ~$3 more expensive (assuming you got 400W) and includes a charge controller, Y-branch connectors, and additional solar panel cable (albeit a pretty short one).

Battery is prob worth more tbh lol.. I have 3x100w panels with the cables + controller and have had no issues after owning for ~4 years. It's a decent entry level system that would be more than enough for van life or off grid imo

Thoughts about using this to provide lighting for a shed? It is in a location that gets full sun. Overkill? It's only a 10x10 resin shed.

Same question here. Mostly for a chicken coop in the winter, but there would be lots of shade on the panels. Only need to power an LED in the winter.

How many of these can you put together? Can you get like 5 of these kits and connect it somehow to your home to offset power usage from the grid?

You need to do some research to understand the limits of charge controllers. It's not too hard, but very necessary as you can start fires if you overload wires and stuff. Spend a Saturday morning on youtube and you'll be in a much better spot.

Or, hire someone to design a system for you that's safe.
