Thanks for sharing this! I have been looking at these on Amazon and the lowest I've seen was $190. I just grabbed one through Musicians Friend and had them price match it. Hopefully I will get the rewards points with them on the purchase.

Thanks again OP, repped!

I have an American Deluxe that came with noiseless pickups, not sure what gen. People call them toneless. I replaced them with Seymour Duncan Antiquities for a big improvement. This is a good value and I am sure they sound OK, but if you want true vintage strat sound I would look elsewhere.

These are from china just like fender. You can order the same for $9.95 online, and yes, i have a 1975 strat. No difference.

Well if someone is looking at the Shawbucker loaded pickguard that wouldn't be a vintage tone anyway. That said have you even tried the Gen 4 Fender noiseless pups ? The gen 3 was leaps and bounds better than any noiseless single coil before it. The gen 4 are even better. These are extremely good pickups, used on the Fender Ultra as standard equipment and also an option on any Custom Shop order.

These aren't a true vintage tone pickup as they are a bit hotter anyway. That said the cleans are very good, can produce some great dirt and the S1 switching is much more than hype, can produce some fantastic tones.

Sure they may not be a true vintage tone they produce very very good Strat tones without the hum and even more combinations with the S1 switching.

For this price, well worth it. Even if ya change the pickguard to match your guitar

This is an awesome post/deal! Repped OP right away. That said, I bought a made in Mexico with the original single coils and they were so noisy but they sounded good/vintage at the same time. I replaced them with the generation 4 set, and the hum is completely gone... but so is that vintage sound. I was a little surprised to see people thumbing down the other folks in this post who tried to point out that noiseless pickups do not give you the same tone that the originals do. Since I didn't do any research, you can imagine my dismay when I plugged in for the first time after having them replaced. Just sharing my experience.

This is tempting. The fender play discount stacks and free shipping.

I've got an old Epiphone Strat that came in some beginner guitar package in the late 90s. Could I just pop this in to make it sound like a real Strat?

Epiphone strat? 🤔

This is a good deal but imo the noiseless fender pickups lack life. I realize this is completely subjective so take it at face value but you may want to go to a music store and try a guitar with them first.

This! As others have said, noiseless PU's do not sound the same as the originals. So much so that I may be pulling my Gen4 PUs out and putting the originals back in. I wish I had followed your advice as I never would have swapped them.

I'll be danged. Searching for Epi strats I found a whole bunch, and it seems every one has a different headstock... and every one of them looks weird AF to me, but w/e, Epi strats are definitely a thing, and other than the headstock, pretty much the same shape, scale length, etc.: https://reverb.com/p/epiphone-s-3...d=44703347
