Curious why that is exactly? And how would they determine a 69 vs 70 degree lie for example?
You can send in a video for a remote fitting on the lab website. Takes like a week turnaround. Easy peasy.
Keep in mind you can buy direct from lab and no tax. Plus there's a ten percent off coupon WELCOME10 when you sign up for email notifications.
EDIT:
Sorry I realize I didn't really answer your question earlier. Most golfers wouldn't be adversely impacted much by a few degrees off your ideal lie angle; my former pro buddy's arguably greatest strength is putting and his old ass putter has always been very toe down. That being said, you ideally want your putter head to lay flat on the ground and every person has a different putting setup, so you would want a putter that matches your posture. Hence why it's highly recommended to get fitted for a LAB putter...or really any club for that matter.

Info for everyone looking at getting one of these.
You MUST get fitted for one of these.
DO NOT buy off the rack
You can send LAB Golf a video of you putting if you can't get fit somewhere.
+1
Fitting is critical for the entire lie angle balance concept
I tried one at a PGA store and loved it - I almost bought it on the spot but was glad my wife talked me out of it because the color I didn't totally like.
Ended up doing a fitting and I had non stock specs. Ordered one online. Still waiting!!

Unless something has changed their email discount isn't valid on putters.
As for fitting, for sure definitely recommend, it's free from them online. I am a lucky one who happens to be sample size for pretty much everything.
These are the current fad in putting. You'll see tons of conversations about this brand because they give putters to tons of golf influencers on YouTube. The reality, like most fads, you will also see a ton of these putters for sale on eBay and in golf forums. So you can draw your own conclusions about why that might be

I would disagree with some of this. Many of the ones for sale on golfwrx are broomstick length (or have crazy shaft upgrades), and most of the standard length sell very quickly used that are priced fairly.
Lie angle balance is less of a fad and more of an upgrade from a face balanced putter to keep it more square through impact. The center shaft, and the forced forward press is tough to get used to if you have used traditional putters. LAB putters were used by 14 percent of players at the masters. That is pretty impressive for a startup brand and calling it a fad is misguided.
The fitting on the website is easy and I would recommend at least checking what they say before ordering this. If you are within a degree of stock this is going to be fine. The fitting is free and easy to do.

They use the video to assist with determining the correct lie angle. It says explicitly in the instructions to take the video in a "down the line" view with a straight line (door frame, window, wall corner, etc) behind you. There are tools to draw lines over videos and they utilize those to assist with the fitting. Obviously, an in-person fitting is always going to be better than a remote fitting, but fitting in any capacity is better than not.

Let me add. I sent in two separate videos and got 2 different lie angles so it isn't perfect. I've been using the off the rack one perfectly fine and it was not the angle that I was fitted for in either video.

You just need to read some of the threads on golfwrx and other forums. It's not just broomstick length, people are dumping out of them because like most fads they have their moment and then it's gone. I mean, is this really that different than the original Scotty phantom with the weird shape and pulled.back weight?
Look, if they work for you, cool. But they DEFINITELY don't work for everyone, and they are DEFINITELY one of the most blatant abusers of "free products" to YouTube influencers to get the hype train going. In fact, they even have an account at golfwrx and try to tell people they are wrong if they don't like them. Seems a bit funny to me, like it's marketing more than innovation.

You really need to be embedded in the game and equipment to know that nothing in golf is really revolutionary. Would you be surprised if I said the concept of a hollow iron club was first introduced in the 90s? Only finally being popular in the last few years.
This is the same thing for the zero torque concept. Even Odyssey had a line called the Backstryke that released nearly 10 years ago. It's absolutely hideous, and really never marketed properly.
So this literally defines fad. LAB is a startup that became popular due to social media. They took an existing concept, marketed and branded it. Give it another few years to see if they're still in business.

I just added a putter to my cart and it works fine. Would be weird if it didn't work since they mainly sell putters.
