Beware there are no Linux kernel drivers for the hardware in this machine, so you're stuck with windows for now. You won't have Wi-Fi, and can't have Wi-Fi, until that gets updated.

Just go into settings\recovery\reset and click on "reset this PC". Choose the option to remove everything and let it reinstall. It will use the same key.

I have 3 of these machine for the office, they work tremendously well for it. Office/Excel/Browser. Super fast and clean, just BE AWARE to re-install windows.

These machine comes with a default windows 11/10 but there is a software that comes with it, that you can see it under START UP services. I forgot the name but please make sure you reinstall windows.

I just bought the bigger brother to this, the Beelink EQ12 (also 'on sale' at Amazon) to use for firewall/routing with opnsense/pfsense. It has dual Intel 2.5G NICs and DDR5 (compared to this one). In any case I really like mine -- and Beelink appears to be the more reputable brand among foreign Mini PC manufacturers.

The N95 models appear to be identical except the CPU gets over double the TDP (to 15w, it's still tiny) which leads to much better performance. You can also save a bit of money on the 8GB/256GB model and then upgrade it yourself. Both DDR4 RAM and SSDs are silly cheap these days.

How do you reinstall Windows? Don't you need to purchase a new product code?
Good question - I would like the answer to this one, too!

Old guy here, needs some help. Looking at some replacements for laptops in my office for two employees. These are stupid cheap compared to a decent laptop, what is the downside? We are using Microsoft Office and online programs so not a lot of processor usage. Love the small footprint and there seems to be plenty of connections. Am I missing something? Any serious feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks

No doubt. I read in a tech newsletter yesterday that if you choose "World" instead of your country when setting Win11 up for the first time, they can't target you with the bloatware and you'll have a much (not completely) cleaner experience.
I tried this the other day. Works well and has indeed a ton less crapware.

No you are not missing anything. They would be perfect for this. I've played around with this exact model and I was super impressed with it. Monitored actual power usage as well and it's crazy how little it uses.
I also run a beelink sei12 i7 24/7 with proxmox on it and it's been flawless.
You can't beat this for the price.

You can do a reset or just download Windows media creation tool for either windows 10 or 11 and set it up on a USB drive. That way you get a full clean install. But download drivers and add them to the drive after.

Wrong.
If you download the media and do the clean install it will NOT come up as having a valid license.
Yes it should. New operating systems lock the key in the BIOS. Unless this one has individually activated copies of windows it should automatically activate.

Not that kind of pc. At these prices it's more of a disposable pc when it reaches it end of life.

I'll just state the obvious (no offense) that your footprint gets slightly bigger by adding a monitor, keyboard and mice with possibly a bunch of wires on the desk. If that's not a deal breaker then the performance you will get for such tasks will be more than adequate. I would buy these for student computers in a lab if I can find a good way to secure them. Small things tend to walk away I'm afraid.
