Beware there are no Linux kernel drivers for the hardware in this machine, so you're stuck with windows for now. You won't have Wi-Fi, and can't have Wi-Fi, until that gets updated.

Just go into settings\recovery\reset and click on "reset this PC". Choose the option to remove everything and let it reinstall. It will use the same key.

I have 3 of these machine for the office, they work tremendously well for it. Office/Excel/Browser. Super fast and clean, just BE AWARE to re-install windows.

These machine comes with a default windows 11/10 but there is a software that comes with it, that you can see it under START UP services. I forgot the name but please make sure you reinstall windows.

No doubt. I read in a tech newsletter yesterday that if you choose "World" instead of your country when setting Win11 up for the first time, they can't target you with the bloatware and you'll have a much (not completely) cleaner experience.
Nice tip

How does this compare in terms of performance to the previously posted FIREBAT AK2?

The N95 and N100 are similar in CPU power however the N100 has more GPU EU so it would be faster for say transcoding, and moderately better playing old games. The N100 systems also usually have more power envelope (TDP) so you can get better max performance but that is YMMV.

So unless you are relying on the GPU for something like transcoding or mild gaming I would say a few bucks and get the N95 versions.

I have both N95 and N100 and I can see little difference for my usage which is not mild gaming however I use them for transcoding (dec). I encode in much more powerful rig.

Yes it should. New operating systems lock the key in the BIOS. Unless this one has individually activated copies of windows it should automatically activate.
This one does not. You have to contact beelink.

Would this run a Terraria/Starbound/Valheim server fairly easily?

Has anyone tried installing over 16GB of ram? The specs state 16GB is the max, but there are conflicting reports from people that have attempted to upgrade to 32GB ram.

The N95 models appear to be identical except the CPU gets over double the TDP (to 15w, it's still tiny) which leads to much better performance. You can also save a bit of money on the 8GB/256GB model and then upgrade it yourself. Both DDR4 RAM and SSDs are silly cheap these days.
Tdp doesn't equate performance. N95 and N100 have nearly identical CPU performance but the GPU performance of the N100 is miles better. And you get all that for 1/2 the power consumption.

N100 is better in every way.

Where is the windows key in case the OS is damaged or you upgrade the storage?

If you want to run Linux on this such as Ubuntu or Debian, upgrade to Linux Kernel 6.4 and then install the AX101 drivers. Both BT + WIFI will work.

For all who are uninvolved, Debian Bookworm (latest version) takes care of all this.

The problem is not Linux. The problem is Intel and they are behind on providing the microcode to globally support their hardware. If Linus and team are provided microcode guidelines they patch kernels fast (nightly builds as you know).

Can this be used to setup home assistant? Might be a better option than going with a pi 4
