Honestly, the screen isn't bad, especially if it's primarily used as a workstation.

16" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Anti-Glare, Touch, 45%CG, 300 nits, 60Hz, LED Backlight, Low Cost, Low Weight

It's 16:10, not 16:9. 300 nits is adequate. 45% CG is pretty low, I'd say it's weakest point. I find it interesting that it's a touch-screen, which doesn't really hurt.

Why would they write "Low Cost, Low Weight"?

Yep, no free lunch when it comes to workstations and this is definitely another one of those. OTOH if you can live with 1200p at 16" and no Thunderbolt this is a good deal.

I'd call anything less than 1600p for a workstation disappointing (my eyesight can handle 1:1 scaling at 4K/16") as higher resolutions better facilitate multitasking. I don't worry too much about color gamut for engineering (note the emphasis) workstations - as opposed to creator workstations - as most engineering applications have a limited color gamut anyway. OTOH this laptop might not work for professional video or photo editors.

They have an option for 1600p, but it's significantly more expensive. Personally, I'm fine with 1200p. At $900 this has very few pitfalls. The 3 year warranty and 3 year battery warranty shouldn't be overlooked either. This is a nice find OP.

45% NTSC is a deal breaker if you do any color sensitive work like photo or video editing, graphics work, or just consume content. 72 NTSC / 99 sRGB at 300nits is tolerable, but I just can't do 45.

Deal is back. Cash back site has 8%. AMEX plus cash back equals a solid deal. It also comes with a 3 year warranty.
