These didn't work out as a first hiking boot for my wife or I. The top hook for the laces applies a lot of pressure where it contacts the ankle. My wife already had a blister formed before we got out of the parking lot at the hiking trail.

Any review on these? I want to buy one for my sis, I have the men's shoes from another deal last week, and they are ok not super comfortable, I have had a couple of hikes in the rocky Mountains so far. Are these similar to men's?

I second this comment. In addition, they don't provide great grip in wet surfaces.
Used the men's version today, on rocks they have a good grip. But in wet conditions, they are terrible. My bare foot would have more grip on wet rocks. Also I have to wear them with long socks because of the ankle issue people mentioned.
