It's subjective. Yeti are expensive but the prices are generally aligned with other name brand rotomolded coolers. Retailers like Costco have had other rotomolded coolers for less than $100, but that's not typical and I've yet to see one in stock.

I know it's a lot to spend on a cooler, but I like the finishing and minor touches on the product that I haven't seen on others. Definitely a huge premium price tag for it though and many couldn't care less for those small details.

It's Yeti. They are premium brand with great customer support and a loyal following. I have many cups and various Yeti products. I never regret buying their stuff. It's pricey but I love them.

Dammit I just bought that red Yeti 60 cooler with wheels at full price about 2 weeks ago.

IMO there's very little difference in materials. Yeti differentiates it's brand need on prestige and brand loyalty more than quality.

The one linked was in stock when I posted it, but you can keep an eye out. They've been selling them for years.

Lifetime is also made in the US. Yeti premium is for the name, their special sauce which was rotomolding design but that design is completely common place now.

I'm not knocking anyone who buys what they like/desire but since this is a deal site I think highlighting similar/alternative products at even better prices is (also) part of the benefit of the comments section.

I have a cater gator 45qt arriving today. I'll report back in quality. $116 but also has some nifty bottle openers that double up for padlock use. You are certainly paying a premium for the yeti brand. If it holds ice for 5 days I'll be happy.
