If you don't have a store near you, be sure to click the "ship to home" box on the left to weed out all the deals that are unavailable to you.

If you don't have a store near you, be cautious about ordering refurbs as shipping damage is fairly likely to occur.

Does the Rigid lifetime service agreement work on the reconditioned tools? I'm looking at the planer and will probably get it either way just curious.

Nope, not on reconditioned. They just get a 1 year warranty. But their Ridgid factory blems, if you can find any anymore, have a 3-year warranty and are eligible for the LSA.

Ordered many things from DTO. Blemished = new, refurbished = beat up returns (usually someone heavily used it on a project and then returned). Happy with my blemished purchases, not happy with the refurb purchases. One warning - DTO offers only 7 days return policy so make sure you test it in the first week!

Is there a code or something? Added a factory reconditioned tool and there's no discount in cart.

The price shown is with the 40% already calculated, hence the red "40% OFF" beside the standard prices that have a line through them.

It's more hit and miss than that. I've gotten what seemed to be brand new factory refurbished items in the past - in their original packaging. And I've gotten beat up pieces of crap. In fact I've even got beat up pieces of crap that were sold as "factory blemished."

In reality, DTO is buyer beware. You can get amazing, unbeatable deals. But you need to check every item thoroughly when you get it. DTO is pretty good about taking items back if they were damaged and either refunding you or sending you another one, but you may need to spend a lot of time on hold, and a lot of time dealing with (DTO-paid) return shipping.

Basically it's worth it if you're a true slickdealer and value $s more than time.

Man all these sales almost weekly on Ryobi make me think next eco system I invest into should be Ryobi instead of greenworks which I am currently using.

A factory blem should always be new. If you received a beat up one, it either got destroyed in shipping or someone mistook a refurb for a blem.

That's not showing up on the Ridgid tool I selected.

And at $79.99, it's not 40% off.

Refurbs have a imprinted "REFURB" on them. Blemished are new in package. That said, save your money and just get the blemished. Not worth the price difference unless you dont mind doing the refurbishment yourself. For example, I got a nailer refurb. Wouldnt drive long nails. Took it apart and discovered that it was all gunked up from heavy use. Cleaned it out, regreased it. Will barely drive long nails in with the air setting on max. Obviously someone used it heavily on a project and then returned. These are not contractor grade so they stop working well after heavy use and then are returned.

Personal experiences with DTO were great. I only bought blemished items, I considered what I did buy were killer deals. My blemished items were in original factory packaging. I now have a Ryobi 10" drill press, a Rigid 6 gal.pancake air compressor and some Ryobi storage cabinets. All were delivered. After reading SD members experiences with refurb items, I would make the 45 mile each way before I would commit to a refurb. Still very happy with the blemished items. Keep your eyes on DTO sales listed on SD, they can be outragously great.
