Thank you. Lithium ion model. I'm down to one Oral B with no back ups recently and have a ton of this style of heads. Previous one lasted 5 years. I'm concerned they are going to slowly phase out the models like this that take the old style heads with the new iO ones. With the exception of some past Sam's clearance deals this is a pretty low price. I think I saw some Sam's Club deals of the 6000s for $80 and some Costco 2 packs of the 8000s in older deals.

Okay, fine. But that deal is no longer available and some people are expressing interest in this deal that is available. Are you trying to make people feel bad either about their current deal options or that they cannot currently get as good a deal as you think you got on a deal that is no longer available?

According to Wirecutter, there is only one feature that correlates with how clean your teeth will be, and that is the 2 minute timer with 30 second "laps." Very possible to go much much cheaper than this and still get essentially the same performance. Even my entry level Oral B from Costco has unnecessary features like 3 different speeds. I wish I didn't have to cycle through them all to turn it off.

I think this is true as well. The one I'm using now has been in the box for 4 years. I'm sure there is some degradation but I won't be able to tell for a long time. Would be cool to like a waterproof flashlight body that you just swap 18650 out of. lol

Sorry the IQ is much better and cost alot less when it was on clearance at walgreens. The Series 9 with 4 extra heads black color was $82.49 on clearance plus you could use the school20 coupon for another 20% off making it $65.99 plus tax. Also you get $7 walgreens cash plus stack what ever walgreens cash coupons you have in your account for extra walgreens cash. I ended up getting $18 walgreens cash for each order I placed. I used separate accounts to place the orders for it as i had the coupons in separate accounts that stacked for walgreens cash.

Stating how much money you saved on the IO 9 does not seem appropriately to respond to someone who prefers the 6000 and already has replacement brushes for it. To be sure, I purchased an IO 7 through the Walgreens deal and I plan on using this current deal to purchase the pair of 6000s. The IO series is much messier - with toothpaste foam spraying around or dripping down if I'm not careful enough. I did not have this problem with the 6000. It is also harder to keep the IO series clean, as it has more spaces to retain liquid (and that is why it can be so much messier) - many users report mold infested IO series after a few months even while cleaning it. I never had any such problem with the 6000.

I'm curious to know what makes the IQ "much better"? At the end of the day, aren't these really just a cluster of spinning/vibrating plastic bristles?

I know a lot of chargers will not charge a fully depleted lithium ion battery and I think that may be the main problem with storing these batteries near empty. It happened to me today with a DeWalt battery. To fix it, you supply a small charge from another working battery for a few seconds and then when you put it on the charger it's just enough juice that the charger starts. I've done this multiple times with multiple batteries from different companies, but I don't see how you can do this with a toothbrush!

I have been happily using my series 9 with no issues. Also comes with full money back guarantee from oral b if I am not happy with it. At the price I paid with cashback from a known site and walgreens cashback as extra $18. I paid less then you for the 6000 and mines comes with 4 brush heads to boot.
